Privacy Policy
Okay, let’s talk about privacy for a minute. I know, I know. Nobody reads these things. You scroll past them, hit “I agree,” and move on with your life. I do the same thing.
But here’s the thing. Most websites write these policies to protect themselves while they do whatever they want with your data. You know it. I know it. That’s not what this is.
I’m not gonna write some long legal document that you’ll never finish. I’m just gonna tell you straight up how VexoTalk handles your stuff.
Why I Built This Place
I got tired. Tired of the internet being a place where you get tracked everywhere you go. You sign up for one thing and boom, your inbox is flooded with garbage. You search for a product once and it follows you around for weeks like a lost puppy. Your info gets passed around like a business card at a networking event.
I didn’t want any part of that. So I built VexoTalk to be different.
We collect only what we need to run the site, keep your account safe, and make sure things work the way they should.
What I Don’t Do
I don’t sell your personal information. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to anyone.
I don’t intentionally collect more than I need. You sign up, you get a username and email address, and your account is protected by a password.
I don’t build advertising profiles about you. I don’t run ads based on what you do here.
I don’t spam your email. If you get an email from VexoTalk, it’s about your account or something important with the site. That’s it.
What I Do Collect
When you sign up, I collect basic stuff. Your username. Your email. Your password, which is securely hashed by the website rather than stored as readable text.
I also store whatever you post — questions, answers, comments, profile info, that kind of thing.
Just remember, anything you post publicly can be seen by anyone. So don’t post stuff you wouldn’t want strangers to see. That’s just common sense.
Technical Stuff
Like every website on the planet, VexoTalk automatically processes some technical info when you visit. Your IP address. Your browser type. What device you’re on. Server logs. Basic stuff.
This helps keep the site secure, fix problems, and stop abuse. I don’t use it to build advertising profiles about you.
Cookies
We use cookies. Not the tasty kind. The kind that keep you logged in and remember your settings.
Your browser might also store cookies from WordPress, BuddyPress, bbPress, or other parts of the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but if you turn them off, some things might not work right.
Your Public Posts
VexoTalk is a community. That means when you post something publicly, it’s part of the community.
Your questions, answers, replies, username — they might stay visible even after you post them.
If you want something to stay private, don’t post it publicly. Simple as that.
Moderation and Safety
Sometimes I need to look at account info, technical data, reports, or public posts to deal with spam, abuse, fraud, harassment, or people breaking the rules.
Moderators and admins might access information when we need to investigate reports, enforce the guidelines, protect members, or keep the site secure.
Links to Other Sites
VexoTalk might have links to other websites. Those sites aren’t mine. I don’t control them.
Once you leave VexoTalk, their privacy rules apply. Read their policy before giving them your info.
We also use third-party services to host, secure, and run the site. Those providers might process limited information as part of doing their job.
About the USA and State Laws
VexoTalk is run from the United States. And here’s the thing about US privacy laws — they’re all over the place. Every state does its own thing.
California has CCPA and CPRA. Virginia has VCDPA. Colorado has CPA. The list keeps growing. Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island — and more are coming.
Some laws have different rules about what counts as “selling” data. Some require opt-out links. Some have different thresholds for which businesses have to comply. It’s confusing even for lawyers.
Here’s what matters for you: VexoTalk doesn’t sell your personal information. We also don’t intentionally share your personal information for advertising purposes.
If you’re in a state with a privacy law and you still want to exercise your rights — like asking what data we have or requesting deletion — just email me. I’ll do my best to respond promptly.

Deleting Your Info
Want to delete your account or ask about deleting your personal information? Email me at support@vexotalk.com.
Some stuff might need to stick around for security, fraud prevention, legal reasons, or because it’s part of the community’s history. Public posts are tricky like that.
Changes to This Policy
If I make a real change to how VexoTalk handles your info, I’ll update this page. And I’ll make the important parts clear. No burying it in legal jargon.
One Last Thing
I know “trust me” sounds hollow coming from a website. But think about it this way.
I built VexoTalk because I wanted a place online that felt different. A place where you can ask questions, share what you know, and talk to people without feeling like you’re being treated as a product.
Your privacy matters. Your trust matters. I don’t take either for granted.
If you’ve got a privacy question, don’t guess. Just email me: support@vexotalk.com
I’ll give you a straight answer.
