VexoTalk Community Guidelines
Hey, admin here.
I built VexoTalk because I was tired of the internet being a mess. Spam everywhere. Affiliate links disguised as answers. Bots pretending to be people. The big platforms let a lot of it slide. I don’t.
I make nothing from this site. I want VexoTalk to be a place where people can ask genuine questions, share useful knowledge, and actually talk to other people. So I have zero tolerance for the garbage that ruins online communities.
These rules are straightforward. They’re designed to keep VexoTalk useful, respectful, and worth coming back to.
1. No Spam. Zero Tolerance.
This is the big one.
Don’t post affiliate links, promotional content, link-farming posts, or content designed primarily to drive traffic to your website or business.
If your main purpose is to advertise rather than contribute, your content will be removed and your account may be banned.
2. No Self-Promotion Without Disclosure
You can share your own work when it genuinely answers someone’s question or adds useful information to the discussion.
If you’re talking about your own product, website, service, company, or project, be honest about your connection to it.
Don’t disguise advertising as an independent recommendation. If every post you make is about your own thing, you’re not here to help. You’re here to sell. That’s not what VexoTalk is for.
3. Be a Real Human
No copy-pasting the same answer everywhere. No flooding the community with low-quality content. No impersonating other people or organizations.
AI tools can be useful, but they shouldn’t be used to flood VexoTalk with meaningless or repetitive content.
Be yourself. Contribute something useful. Quality matters more than quantity.
4. Respect People
Disagree. Argue. Debate. Challenge ideas.
But don’t attack people.
No harassment. No hate speech. No threats. No targeted abuse. Don’t publish someone’s private or personal information.
Remember that there is a real person on the other side of the screen.
5. Keep It Legal
Don’t use VexoTalk to facilitate illegal activity.
Don’t ask for or share instructions intended to hack accounts, steal information, commit fraud, distribute pirated material, or carry out other harmful or illegal acts.
Don’t post illegal transactions or content that could put other members or the community at risk.
6. Report, Don’t Engage
If you see spam or someone breaking the rules, report it.
Don’t argue with them. Don’t feed trolls. Don’t turn the situation into an even bigger discussion.
Report it and move on. I’ll handle it from there.
7. One Account Per Person
Don’t create alternate accounts to upvote yourself, manipulate discussions, artificially increase engagement, evade moderation, or bypass a ban.
One person should have one account.
8. Stay On Topic
If someone asks about phones, don’t turn the discussion into an unrelated political rant. If someone asks about programming, don’t use the thread to advertise your business.
Keep discussions relevant. Keep them useful.
9. Write Like a Person, Not a Bot
You don’t need perfect grammar.
But write like you’re talking to another human. Make an effort to communicate clearly and avoid meaningless walls of text, repetitive answers, and obvious automated content.
VexoTalk is about useful conversations, not generating as much content as possible.
10. This Is a Community, Not a Dumping Ground
We’re here to ask questions, share knowledge, learn from each other, and actually talk to each other.
If that’s what you’re here for, you’re welcome.
If you’re here only to spam, advertise, manipulate, scam, or take advantage of other members, VexoTalk isn’t the place for you.
How I Enforce This
I don’t have a huge moderation team. I’m one person, and I check the site regularly.
If I see spam, I’ll remove it. If I see serious abuse, I may remove the content and ban the account immediately.
Depending on the situation, violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, suspension, or a permanent ban.
I reserve the right to take action when necessary to protect VexoTalk and its members.
One Last Thing
I’m not a corporation. I’m not a huge moderation team. I’m one person who wants the internet to be less terrible.
If you’re here to contribute, you’re welcome. If you’re here to take advantage, you won’t last long.
Thanks for reading. Now go ask something, answer something, or just say hi.
