hey guys, i need real advice here. im stuck with credit cards.
i have 4 credit cards and i have used up the limit on 3 of them. now i dont have money to pay the bills. i have to pay almost $40k total and i only pay the minimum payment every month, and my bill increase day by day. it feels like i am drowning and getting nowhere.
i am not good with finance stuff, i make mistakes like everyone. but now i want to fix this.
how can i clear these bills? or can i settle with the bank? is there any way to reduce it? has anyone here done this before and what happened?
any real advice would help me alot right now. thanks 🙏

Ugh, been there, or close to it. Minimum payments are a trap, the balance just sits there no matter what you do.
Honestly the thing that helped most was just calling the banks. I thought they’d laugh at me but a couple of them dropped the rate a bit and it made the payment less painful. Call before you miss one tho, they’re way nicer about it.
Then I put everything extra on one card at a time and stopped using them completely. Cut a bunch of stuff too, subscriptions, eating out, all that. Boring but it works.
There are also nonprofit credit counseling places that can set up a plan for you. Just be careful, anyone promising to wipe out your debt fast is probably a scam.
It takes a while, no sugarcoating it, but it does go down. Hang in there 💛
(not a financial advisor btw, just what worked for me)

My rule is simple, I dont use a credit card unless I really have to. I learned it the hard way tho.
When I got my first card I maxed the whole limit in the first month. Then the bill came and I couldnt pay it, so I had to use my savings to clear it. Thats when I understood it’s a trap. If you dont use it the right way it slowly eats your money.
After that I stopped using it for months. Now its only for special occasions or when its really necessary, and I pay it off right away.
So my advice, stop swiping, pay what you can and dont let it grow. It will take time but you can get out of it. Hang in there….
